Our story
We are your Local Honeys. Our Beauty Hive is located on Niagara Street in Buffalo’s Upper Rock neighborhood. This area is so up & coming, it’s always changing and you can watch it transform right outside our window every day!
But there’s more to our story of course. LHBH was originally founded in July of 2019 in a small temporary location nearby, while the big salon was under construction. We were all set to open on Niagara Street in April 2020 but then the pandemic happened. We finally opened our Niagara Street doors on June 2nd, 2020 and these bees are here to stay! We love our Hive and we know you will too. We are always growing and evolving so stay tuned to Instagram for our ongoing endeavors!
JEN
Jen started her hair journey in 2004. Specializing in formal upstyling, women’s & men’s cuts, and healthy natural-looking color. Also owner, designer, and homemaker of LHBH!
BECCA
With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Becca is a well balanced artist. She mainly specializes in bead-weft extensions, lived-in color techniques, and tailored haircuts.
JENNY
Jenny entered the beauty industry in December of 2023. She’s working toward specializing in blonding, fantasy color, lived-in color, balayage, and hand-tied extensions. Follow along as she gains experience and knowledge furthering her skills!
SARAH
Sarah joined the industry in 2016. She specializes in extensions, blonding, balayage and blended lived-in color. Sarah is Hand-Tied Extension certified and loves to do wedding hair and makeup!
Emma
Emma started in the industry in 2014 and has over 8 years of experience. She specializes in blonding, red heads, custom color, and bridal services. Emma has further enhanced her skill set in education with Oribe, Mane Ivy, and Bianca J Cox. She also loves to create beautiful glowing skin with our spray tanning service!
TORI
Tori joined the beauty world in August 2023. You’ll find her busy at our front desk – keeping schedules smooth and greeting you with a smile. Fun fact: Tori has her Cosmetology license and can also perform makeup services for all your special events!
EMILY
Emily entered the beauty industry in 2019. She loves creating rich and dimensional brunettes, lived-in blonding and balayage. She takes pride in finishing her work with a sleek blowout style while keeping her client’s hair healthy and happy. You might find it surprising, but Emily manages all our social media channels to support the growth of our overall media and marketing initiatives!
JESSICA
After many years in the corporate world Jessica pursued her dream to enter the beauty industry in January of 2021. She’s a certified Bellamihairpro and Habit Method Extension Specialist. She excels in seamless extensions, has a love for blonding, creating lived-in colors, and redhead transformations. She also creates beautiful glowing skin with our spray tanning service!
